Motorcyclist killed in collision at Higgins Road and Uhr Lane in San Antonio identified

San Antonio, TX. – 61-year-old Burnia Jones was killed in a motorcycle accident at an intersection in San Antonio on Thursday evening.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Higgins Road and Uhr Lane at around 5 p.m.
Jones was riding a yellow 2014 Honda Goldwing across the intersection and collided with a black 2010 Nissan Xterra that was turning left from Uhr Lane onto Higgins Road.

The impact caused the motorcycle to crash into a black 2017 Chevrolet Corvette that was in the turn lane preparing to make a left turn onto Uhr Road.
Jones was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
