San Antonio, TX. – Jalen Bryce Herndon, 25, has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in San Antonio on Wednesday morning.
According to the police, the accident happened on Interstate 35 near Laredo Street at around 4 a.m.
Herrndon was walking northeast across the southbound lanes when he was struck and run over by a red 2018 Freightliner.
The man was found lying in the road and was pronounced dead at the accident scene by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The driver of the Freightliner, 64-year-old Victor Miranda-Baltazar, fled the scene but was later located and arrested.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
