Steven Tibbetts ID’d as Man Killed in Austin Car Accident on State Highway 71
Austin, Texas (October 25, 2018) – The man who was killed last week Tuesday in a two-vehicle in Austin has been identified as Steven Tibbetts, according to a statement released by police.
The tragic accident took place at about 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16 State Highway 130.
Police said Tibbetts was driving northbound on the service road of State Highway 130 when he ran a red light and his Honda Accord collided with a westbound Ford F-250 pickup truck.
Both drivers stopped at the scene until authorities arrived. Tibbetts was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Alcohol or drugs were not factors in the accident. The crash remains under investigation by Austin police.
