Houston, TX – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Houston on Thursday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.
The incident took place in the 6500 block of Dairy Ashford Road at about 7 a.m. on March 20.
A 49-year-old man was driving a gray Dodge Ram pickup truck northbound on Dairy Ashford Road when he struck a woman who was running across the roadway.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
She was only identified as a 70-year-old woman.
The driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and was not suspected of impairment.
The accident is under investigation.
