Woman Killed in Wise County Crash on U.S. 81/287 near Alvord
Wise County, Texas (October 29, 2018) – A woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident in Wise County, according to the Department of Public Safety.
The deadly crash happened at about 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28 on U.S. 81/287, just south of Alvord.
DPS said the woman was driving her Chevy four-door sedan when for an unknown reason she crashed into a parked tractor-trailer on U.S. 81/287.
The woman died in the crash. Her name has not been released pending identification and notification of next of kin.
U.S 287 southbound was reduced to one lane for over an hour.
No other details regarding the crash were immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
