Georgetown, TX. – Kurt Lentz has been identified as the off-duty Georgetown Fire Department firefighter who died in a motorcycle accident last week Friday in Georgetown.

According to a local news source, the accident happened around 9 a.m. on State Highway 29, near Wolf Ranch Parkway.

The firefighter was riding a motorcycle and wearing a helmet when he collided with another vehicle.

Lentz was taken to Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle declined to be taken to the hospital.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the cause of the accident.
