Collazo was attempting to cross the road in a wheelchair when she was struck by a car

Lamesa, TX. – A woman in a wheelchair died after being struck by a car on Sunday night in Lamesa.
According to Lamesa Police Department, the accident happened around 9 p.m. on the 800 block of North Bryan Avenue.
56-year-old Janette Rene Collazo was attempting to cross the road in a wheelchair when she was struck by a car.
The woman was taken to Medical Arts Hospital where she later died.
More details about the accident were not released.
DPS is investigating the accident.
