Austin, TX – Two people have been hospitalized following a major injury traffic collision on FM 973 in Austin Wednesday afternoon, according to the Austin Travis County EMS (ATCEMS).
The accident happened at about 3:26 p.m. on April 30 in the 8000 block of Farm-to-Market 973.
According to ATCEMS, EMS medics responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision and found two patients with one of them pinned inside a vehicle.
The trapped party was extricated and the two patients – both adults – were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center.
One patient transported by EMS medics had potentially serious injuries. The second patient was airlifted and had critical, life-threatening injuries.
No additional information was provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
