A witness at the scene rendered immediate aid and transported the teenage girl to the school

Edinburg, TX. – A 13-year-old girl was injured after being struck by a car on Tuesday morning in Edinburg.
According to the police, the accident happened at the intersection of North McColl Road and West Schunior Road.
The girl was walking to school when she was hit by a car.
A witness at the scene rendered immediate aid and transported the teenage girl to the school where she was transferred to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, 69-year-old Dennis Bullard, left the accident but was later located and arrested. He faces charges of collision involving bodily injury and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
