The 25-year-old woman driving the Volkswagen was transported to hospital in critical condition

Montgomery, TX. – One person was killed in a collision on Wednesday night in Montgomery.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on SH 105 just east of Walden Road at around 11 p.m.
A Volkswagen CC was traveling east on 105 when it failed to maintain a single marked lane and veered to the left, jumped over the center median and slammed into a fire truck.
The 25-year-old woman driving the Volkswagen was transported to hospital in critical condition.
A male passenger of the car was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
One firefighter was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
As officers were investigating the accident, one motorist drove into the scene, almost hitting an MCSO patrol unit head-on. The motorist passed a field sobriety test and was sent on his way.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
