A boy in the back left passenger seat of the car was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene

Gaines County, TX. – A 13-year-old boy died in a car accident that left four other people seriously injured on Friday afternoon in Gaines County.
The collision occurred near the intersection of CR 208 and CR 225 at around 3:15 p.m.
38-year-old Mario Antonio Tornez-Gutierrez, of Hobbs, was driving a car east on CR 208 when he ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Johnny Wiebe, of Seminole.
The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to roll over.

Gutierrez, 36-year-old Monica Flores, of Hobbs, and two girls, eight and 10 years old, were injured in the accident and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Wiebe and his passenger, 34-year-old John Dyck, of Seminole, were hospitalized with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
