Fort Worth, TX – One person was killed Sunday morning in a traffic collision involving a suspected drunken driver in Fort Worth, according to the police.
The fatal collision happened on June 22, on Interstate 30 near Beach Street.
Police said David Tristan Mayen, 31, was driving a blue Chevrolet eastbound on the interstate when he hit an eastbound silver Toyota on the left rear of the truck bed.
Both vehicles went down a hill after the collision and stopped in the grass, south of the freeway.
The Toyota driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
Mayen was arrested and is facing a charge of intoxication manslaughter involving a vehicle. He was taken to the Tarrant County Jail with a bond set at $25,000.
The police are investigating the accident.
