Corpus Christi, TX. – The man who was killed on Sunday in a bicycle accident in Corpus Christi has been identified as 53-year-old Ismael Martinez, according to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deadly accident happened around 9:26 p.m., July 6, in the 4800 block of Leopard Street.
Police said Martinez was riding his bicycle southbound across the street when he failed to yield the right of way and was struck by an eastbound car.
Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
