The driver was airlifted to St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan

Centerville, TX. – One person was hospitalized after being injured in a collision involving an 18-wheeler on Tuesday evening in Centerville.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 5:38 p.m. on southbound Interstate 45 at mile marker 160.
A big rig and a passenger vehicle were involved in the collision.
Marquez Fire Department and Centerville Volunteer Fire Department firefighters arrived at the scene and extricated the driver of the passenger car, who was trapped in the wreckage.
The driver was airlifted to St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
