The fatal collision happened around 1:20 a.m. on July 26 on Interstate 20 at mile marker 129.

Midland County, TX – Two people were killed and another was seriously injured early Saturday morning in a wrong-way collision in Midland County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 1:20 a.m. on July 26 on Interstate 20 at mile marker 129.
DPS said Henry Anthony Vela, 34, of Midland, was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 eastbound in the inside westbound lane of the freeway, going the wrong way, when he collided head-on with a westbound 2025 Toyota Sienna.
The impact caused the Ford to become engulfed in flames.
Vela and the Sienna driver, 78-year-old William Randolph Smith of Pflugerville, were pronounced dead at the scene. They were both wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
A passenger in the Sienna, 52-year-old Diana Marquez, was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
