The driver of the car and two passengers were killed in the accident

Cactus, TX. – Three people were killed in a collision involving a train on Wednesday afternoon in Cactus.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 2:44 p.m. near US 287 and County Road E.
A train was traveling northbound on the train tracks parallel to US 287 when it struck a minivan that was traveling eastbound on County Road E.
Officials say the driver of the minivan failed to stop for the train as required by law and attempted to cross the tracks.
The driver of the car and two passengers were killed in the accident.
All three were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
