Brownsville, TX. – A teen was killed in a car accident on Tuesday afternoon in Brownsville.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on State Highway 100 near San Roman Road, west of Old Port Isabel Road.
A black Ford Ranger operated by a 17-year-old girl was traveling eastbound at high rates of speed when it hydroplaned and crashed.
17-year-old Angel Flores, of Los Fresnos, was a passenger in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
