San Angelo, TX – Two people were injured on Friday in a two-vehicle collision in San Angelo, according to the San Angelo Police Department.
The collision happened around noon on August 8, 2025, at the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and West 23rd Street.
Police said a Nissan Frontier pickup was traveling eastbound on West 23rd Street when it failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and entered the intersection, where it struck a northbound Hyundai passenger car that was traveling on Martin Luther King Drive.
Both occupants of the Hyundai were transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver had to be extricated using Jaws of Life.
The Nissan driver told officers that he was new to town and believed the intersection was a four-way stop. He was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
The two occupants of the Nissan were evaluated at the scene and released.
The police are investigating the accident.
