Maria Loya and Mayrin Perez killed in collision at M.F. Aguilera Road and O.T. Smith Road in El Paso

El Paso, TX. – Two people who died in a car accident on Saturday afternoon in El Paso have been identified.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. at M.F. Aguilera Road and O.T. Smith Road.
51-year-old Maria Escudero Loya was driving a Mazda CX-5 when she collided head-on with a Nissan Titan.
Escudero Loya died at the scene.
21-year-old Mayrin Perez, who was a passenger in the Mazd,a was taken to a local hospital where she later died.
The driver of the Nissan was also hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
Sadly, the Mazda passenger later died while receiving treatment.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
