Austin, TX – A man has been arrested in connection with the two-vehicle collision that left one person dead and another person injured last Monday in South Austin, according to the police.
James Durbin was arrested on August 19 and booked into the Travis County Jail.
The fatal collision happened around 2:37 p.m. on August 11 at the intersection of South 1st Street and West William Cannon Drive.
Police said two vehicles collided at the intersection.
The driver of the first car was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the second car, 47-year-old Samson Seablom, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A pedestrian who was hit by debris was also taken to the hospital.
Durbin was arrested and has been charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The police are investigating the accident.

Austin, TX. – 47-year-old Samson Seablom has been identified as the man who died in a car accident last week in South Austin.
According to the Austin Police Department, the accident happened around 2:37 p.m. at the intersection of South 1st Street and West William Cannon Drive.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision.
Seablom was driving one of the cars and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
