El Paso, TX – One person was seriously injured on Tuesday in a three-wheel motorcycle accident in East El Paso, according to the authorities.
The accident happened around 5:05 p.m. on August 19 on Gateway East near Stanley Street.
Authorities said a blue Honda Civic crashed into a pink three-wheel motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Honda, Manuel Esquivel Alvarez, a lieutenant with the El Paso Fire Department, was arrested at the scene. He was taken to Del Sol Medical Center for treatment. He was charged with intoxication assault and booked into the El Paso County Jail under a $15,000 bond. He was released on Wednesday, August 20, after posting bond.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
