Houston, TX – An off-duty METRO police officer was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle accident in Houston’s South Side, according to the authorities.
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on August 27 in the area of Fellows and Cullen.
Authorities said the officer was escorting a funeral procession when their motorcycle was struck by another vehicle.
The officer was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

The police are investigating the accident.
