Rose City, TX – A man was killed Thursday evening in a motorcycle accident in Rose City, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly accident happened around 5:40 p.m. on August 28 on Interstate 10 near mile marker 858.
DPS said a Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling westbound and was stopped in the center lane because of traffic when it was rear-ended by a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The driver of the truck tractor was uninjured in the accident.
The accident closed I-10.
The Texas DPS is investigating the accident.
