San Antonio, TX – The man who was killed in a wrong-way collision early Friday morning in San Antonio’s North Side has been identified as Justin Mangum, 37, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office.

The fatal accident happened around 3:15 a.m. on August 29 in the 16300 block of Wurzbach Parkway near Starcrest Drive.

Police said a vehicle was traveling the wrong way when it collided head-on with Mangum’s car.

Mangum was killed in the accident.

The wrong-way driver, Ruben Perez, was taken to the hospital for his injuries, where he was found to have been intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The police are investigating the accident.

San Antonio, TX – One person was killed in a wrong-way collision early Friday morning in San Antonio’s North Side, according to the police.

The fatal accident happened around 3:15 a.m. in the 16300 block of Wurzbach Parkway near Starcrest Drive.

Police said a 30-year-old man was driving a truck eastbound in the westbound lanes when he collided head-on with another car.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment. He was found to have been intoxicated and was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The collision closed two westbound lanes for several hours. The lanes were reopened around 7:15 a.m.

The police are investigating the accident.
