The fatal collision happened around 5:38 p.m. on September 3 on Highway 7 about .02 miles west of FM 232.

Houston County, TX – Two children were killed and two adults were injured Wednesday evening in a head-on collision in Houston County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 5:38 p.m. on September 3 on Highway 7 about .02 miles west of FM 232.
DPS said a Lexus car was traveling eastbound on the highway while a Ford F-350 was heading westbound.
For an unknown reason, the Ford crossed the centerline and crashed head-on into the Lexus.
The Lexus driver, Amanda Sparks, 63, of Kennard, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Her two passengers, a 5-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy, one in the front seat and the other in the back seat, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ford driver, Charles Spikes, 25, of Huntsville, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
