Rowlett, TX – A motorcyclist was critically injured early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Rowlett, according to the police.
The accident occurred around 5:00 a.m. on September 7 in the westbound lanes of Interstate 30 east of Dalrock Road.
Police said a motorcycle and a car collided in the westbound lanes of the interstate.
The motorcyclist was ejected over the concrete guardrail into the opposing lanes of travel. They were taken to the hospital with major injuries and was listed in critical condition.
Two people in the car fled the scene, but drone officers later located them hiding in a nearby bush. They were both taken into custody on multiple charges.
The accident closed both the eastbound and the westbound lanes of the interstate.
The police are investigating the accident.
