The fatal collision occurred around 10:28 p.m. on September 6 at the intersection of La Homa Road and 66th Street south of Mile 5.

Mission, TX – A teenager was killed Saturday night in a two-vehicle collision in Mission, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision occurred around 10:28 p.m. on September 6 at the intersection of La Homa Road and 66th Street south of Mile 5.
DPS said a 2020 Toyota Tacoma was traveling westbound on 66th Street while a 2006 GMC Envoy was traveling northbound on La Homa Road.
The Tacoma driver failed to yield the right of way, disregarded the stop sign at the intersection, and crashed into the GMC.
The GMC spun, struck a fence and a utility pole, and rolled over onto its top. It came to a rest in the southbound lanes of La Homa Road.
The Tacoma driver was taken to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance for a medical evaluation.
The GMC driver, 17-year-old Latwon Oscar Uribe of Mission, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Texas DPS is investigating the accident.
