Culberson County, TX – One person was killed and another was injured Tuesday morning in a two-car accident in Culberson County outside of Van Horn, according to officials.
The fatal collision happened on September 9 at the intersection of Interstate 10 and US 90.
Officials said Kelvin Matthew Lee-Armenta, 19, of Harlingen, Texas, was driving westbound on the I-10 access road, trying to avoid a Texas DPS Trooper, while Martha Zabrosky, 64, of Alpine, was driving northbound on US 90.
Lee-Armenta ran a stop sign and hit Zabrosky’s car.
Zabrosky was taken to Culberson Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Lee-Armenta was taken to UMC in stable condition.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
