Elgin, TX – Two people were killed and four others were injured Saturday night in a three-vehicle accident in Elgin, according to the police.
The fatal accident was reported around 11:55 p.m. on August 30 at the intersection of US Highway 290 North and Saratoga Farms Boulevard.
Police said three vehicles were involved in the collision. Two of the vehicles were immediately engulfed in flames.
Robbie Carter, 66, of McDade, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five people were taken to local hospitals by helicopters and ambulances.
Yareli Padierna, 13, of Elgin, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The conditions of the other four victims were not disclosed.
The police are investigating the accident.
