Atascocita, TX – A couple was killed Friday morning in a motorcycle accident in Atascocita, according to the authorities.
The deadly accident happened around 3:45 a.m. on September 12 on FM 1960 E.
Authorities said a motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed heading eastbound when a pickup truck pulled out of a neighborhood with a stop sign. The pickup pulled in front of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.
The motorcyclist, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a woman, was airlifted to the hospital, where she later died. They were a couple and their names have not been released.
The driver of the pickup was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
The pickup truck driver was not impaired and cooperated with the investigators.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
