Corpus Christi, TX – Three people, including a police officer, were injured Friday afternoon in a multi-vehicle collision in Corpus Christi, according to the police.
The collision happened around 12:50 p.m. on September 12 on eastbound Highway 44 at Clarkwood.
Police said an 18-wheeler struck a barricade on eastbound Highway 44. While officers were still on scene, another vehicle slammed into a CCPD Scorpion truck that was being used by an officer for traffic control. It then collided with a passing RTA bus.
The officer and the bus driver were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was also hospitalized with major injuries and was listed in stable condition.
The police are investigating the accident.
