Callahan County, TX – Three people were injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Callahan County, according to the police.
The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. on September 15 at the intersection of FM 18 and Elmdale Road.
Police said an SUV was traveling southbound on Elmdale Road when it ran a stop sign at the intersection and was struck by a pickup truck hauling a trailer with heavy equipment that was traveling westbound on FM 18.
The SUV became stuck to the truck and was dragged into a nearby yard, where it hit a tree.
The SUV driver, a 24-year-old from Temple, Texas, was extricated and, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Both occupants of the pickup sustained minor injuries.
The police are investigating the accident.
