Odessa, TX – Five people were injured Tuesday evening in a multi-vehicle collision in Odessa, according to a local news source.
The collision happened around 7:24 p.m. on September 16 in the 5000 block of W IH-20.
According to the report, a tan 18-wheeler, a red 18-wheeler, a white Dodge Ram 2500, a white Ford F-350, a green Ford Mustang, and a gray Infiniti SUV were traveling eastbound on the interstate.
The driver of the tan 18-wheeler failed to control their speed and struck the Dodge. The impact pushed the Dodge into the Ford F-350. The tan 18-wheeler continued and struck the green Mustang.
The impact caused the Infiniti to hit the red 18-wheeler. The green Mustang struck a guardrail.
Five people were taken to Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the tan 18-wheeler was cited for Failure to Control Speed. The driver of the gray Infiniti was also cited for No Driver’s License.
The collision remains under investigation.
