Irion County, TX – One person was killed and another was injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Irion County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 7:07 a.m. on September 25 on U.S. 67, about two miles west of Barnhart.
DPS said a 2026 Ford F-250 driven by Kristen Suzanne Upchurch, 38, of McCamey, was traveling eastbound when it crossed into the wrong lane and struck a 2023 Ford F-150.
The driver of the Ford F-150, 30-year-old Austin Ray Sanchez of San Angelo, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Upchurch was taken to Reagan County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The weather was clear, and the road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.
The collision remains under investigation.
