Lubbock, TX – A man was killed Friday night in a pedestrian accident in Lubbock, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly accident was reported around 11:14 p.m. on September 26 on US 87, 0.37 miles north of 98th Street.
DPS said Brandon Guerrero, 30, of Lubbock, was driving a 2018 Ford Escape on the US 87 frontage road when he was involved in a minor single-vehicle accident. The Ford became disabled in the northbound lanes of the highway, and Guerrero got out of his car. He crossed into the southbound lanes and was struck by a southbound vehicle.
Guerrero was killed in the accident.
The driver of the vehicle that hit Guerrero sustained minor injuries.
The road conditions were dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the accident.
The Texas DPS is investigating the accident.
