Smith County, TX – The four people who were killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle collision near the Gregg County/Smith County line have been identified as Alejandro Julian Martinez, 19, Jonathan Josue Perez, 20, David Morales Ramos, 21, and Nicholas Colby Sanders,40, according to the Smith County Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace Curtis Wulf.
The fatal collision occurred on September 29 on Texas 31 west of FM 2767.
Authorities said a vehicle was traveling eastbound on the highway when it drove onto the wrong side of the road and crashed nearly head-on with a second vehicle.
The three men in the first vehicle, Martinez, Perez, and Ramos, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle, Sanders, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
All four victims were from Kilgore.
No other details were provided.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
