Lubbock, TX – A woman was killed and a man was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck in Lubbock, according to the Lubbock Police Department.
The fatal collision occurred around 6:13 a.m. on September 29 in the 4100 block of Slaton Highway.
Police said Jenna Garcia, 31, was driving a minivan southbound on Olive Avenue, approaching Slaton Highway, where she entered the intersection and collided with a semi-truck that was traveling eastbound on Slaton Highway.
Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene,
The driver of the semi, 72-year-old Henry Kesey, was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.
The police are investigating the accident.
