The deadly accident happened just after midnight on October 8 in the northbound lanes of the Southwest Freeway between Kirby Drive and Buffalo Speedway.

Houston, TX – A woman was killed early Wednesday morning in a wrong-way collision that left another person injured in Houston, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened just after midnight on October 8 in the northbound lanes of the Southwest Freeway between Kirby Drive and Buffalo Speedway.
Police said the woman was driving a gray Nissan Rogue southbound in the northbound lanes when she crashed head-on into a white Mercedes.
Both drivers were taken to local hospitals, where the Nissan driver later died. Her name has not been released.
The Mercedes driver is expected to be OK.
The police are investigating the accident.
