Houston, TX – The 22-year-old man who was injured early this month in a pedestrian accident in Houston has died, according to the police.
The accident happened around 1:20 a.m. on October 4 in the 500 block of Crosstimbers Street at Oxford Street.
Police said Roosevelt Anthony Ervin, 54, was driving a gray Toyota Corolla southbound on Oxford Street when he entered the intersection, failed to stop or turn, and struck the 22-year-old man who was in a crosswalk.
The Corolla then struck a building.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died on October 15. His name has not been released.
Ervin was found to have been intoxicated and was arrested at the scene.
The police are investigating the accident.
