The collision happened just before 8:00 p.m. on October 20 at the intersection of Highway 96 and Houston Street.

Jasper, TX – A man was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle collision involving a log truck in Jasper, according to the police.
The collision happened just before 8:00 p.m. on October 20 at the intersection of Highway 96 and Houston Street.
Police said a large log truck was traveling westbound on Houston Street when it turned northbound onto Highway 96. This caused the logs in the truck to hit a westbound late model Mercedes sedan that was preparing to turn northbound.
The sedan driver, Mario Cole, 50, was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The log truck driver, Brennon Lawrence, 23, was uninjured in the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
