Houston, TX – One person was killed and another was critically injured early Tuesday morning in a wrong-way collision in Houston, according to the police.
The fatal collision happened around 12:05 a.m. on October 28 on the Katy Freeway near the Washington/Westcott exit.
Police said a silver BMW was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when it crashed head-on into a silver Tesla Cyber truck.
The force of the impact caused the BMW to catch fire and the Tesla to hit a blue Freightliner 18-wheeler.
The BMW driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The Tesla driver, a 66-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the 18-wheeler and, passenger were uninjured in the accident and remained at the scene.
The police are investigating the accident.
