El Paso, TX – The woman who died after being involved in a pedestrian accident last month in El Paso has been identified as 71-year-old Ricarda Meza Escobedo of Juarez, Mexico, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened on October 24 at the intersection of Stanton Street and 7th Avenue.
Police said a woman was driving a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado southbound on Stanton Street when she turned left at the intersection, failed to yield the right of way, and hit Escobedo, who was crossing 7th Street.
Escobedo was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, where she was pronounced dead on Saturday, November 1.
The police are investigating the accident.

The accident happened around 9:00 a.m. on October 24 at the intersection of Stanton and Seventh Street near the entry of the Santa Fe port.
According to the report, a person was hit by a vehicle at the intersection.
The person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
