San Antonio, TX – A 33-year-old man was critically injured Wednesday night in a street racing accident in San Antonio, according to the police.
The accident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on November 5 in the 8700 block of I-10 East.
Police said the man was driving a Nissan in the far-left lane when he was rear-ended by one of two white BMWs that were racing in the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes.
The force of the impact caused both vehicles to spin out, and the BMW hit a concrete barrier while the Nissan rotated before coming to rest.
The Nissan driver was hospitalized with critical injuries.
Both BMW drivers were arrested and charged with racing, resulting in serious bodily injury.
The SAPD is investigating the accident.
