The deadly collision happened just after 11:45 p.m. on October 19 on Interstate 35 northbound at the North St. Mary’s Street exit.

San Antonio, TX – The woman who was killed last month in a wrong-way collision in San Antonio has been identified as Gloria Castro, 50, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deadly collision happened just after 11:45 p.m. on October 19 on Interstate 35 northbound at the North St. Mary’s Street exit.
Police said Carlos Guerra, 42, was driving a Chevy Silverado southbound in the northbound lanes of the freeway. A Bexar County Sheriff’s deputy saw Guerra and tried a traffic stop, but he did not stop.
Guerra then crashed head-on into a Chevy Express.
Castro, who was a passenger in the Express, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Express, a 50-year-old man, was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Guerra was arrested at the scene on intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault charges. His bond was set at $350,000.
The police are investigating the accident.
