Bell County, TX – One person was killed and another was injured on Thursday in a two-vehicle collision in Meeks, Bell County, according to the authorities.
The deadly collision happened around noon on November 6 on FM 485 near Falls Road.
Authorities said a Cadillac SRX was traveling northbound when it tried to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone and crashed into an oncoming tractor-trailer.
The force of the impact caused the Cadillac to overturn and eject the driver and passenger.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital Medical Center-Temple with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Texas DPS is investigating the accident.
