Fort Worth, TX. – Two people were hospitalized after being injured in a wrong-way collision early Monday morning in Fort Worth.
According to local police, the accident happened around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of South Freeway and East Morningside Drive.
A vehicle was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it struck three vehicles, including a city-owned vehicle and two semi-trucks.
The wrong-way driver was pinned underneath one of the semi-trucks and had to be extricated before being taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
One of the semi-truck drivers was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
Investigators believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
