Galveston, TX – A bicyclist was killed on Sunday in a hit-and-run accident in Galveston, according to the authorities.
The deadly accident happened on November 16 on 53rd Street.
Authorities said Fidel Estrada, 77, was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Aiden Perry Prause.
Prause fled the scene after the accident.
Estrada was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Prause was later arrested and charged with collision involving death. He was taken to the Galveston County Jail, and his bond was set at $100,000. He bonded out around 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21.
