Georgetown, TX – One worker was killed, and two others were injured Sunday afternoon in a pedestrian accident in Georgetown, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened around 2:30 p.m. on November 23 on Kelley Drive near Westinghouse Road.
According to the report, 20-year-old Alezander Cruz of Austin was driving a black Ford Escape southbound when he hit an Oncor truck that was working in the area.
The force of the impact pushed the Oncor truck into a vehicle that was in front of it. Three workers who were between the two vehicles were struck.
A 20-year-old College Station man was killed in the accident. His name has not been released. The other two workers were taken to local hospitals in unknown conditions.
Cruz was arrested and booked into the Williamson County Jail on charges of intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. His passenger fled the scene.
The authorities are investigating the accident. Anyone with any information about the passenger who fled the scene or might have witnessed the accident is asked to call the Georgetown Police Department at 512-930-3510.
