The fatal collision happened around 11:57 a.m. on December 1 on US 67.

Brown County, TX – A teenager was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Brown County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 11:57 a.m. on December 1 on US 67.
DPS said a 2019 Freightliner Sprint truck was traveling northbound behind a 1996 Ford Escort.
The Freightliner driver, a 23-year-old Blue Mound man, was distracted by a cell phone mounted in the vehicle, and he crashed into the Escort.
The force of the impact pushed the Escort through a wire fence, and it came to rest in a pasture.
The Escort driver, a 64-year-old Coleman woman, and the front passenger, a 66-year-old Coleman woman, were taken to Hendrick-Brownwood with serious injuries.
The third passenger, Samantha Nell Johnson, 17, from Coleman, died at the scene.
The Freightliner driver sustained minor injuries but refused treatment.
The weather conditions were cloudy and drizzling, and the road conditions were wet, level, and straight at the time of the accident.
The troopers are investigating the accident.
