The deadly collision happened around 5:45 p.m. on December 9 at the intersection of U.S. 277 and Reece Road.

Tom Green County, TX – The man who was killed on Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision in Tom Green County has been identified as Jose V. Gallegos, 76, of San Angelo, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly collision happened around 5:45 p.m. on December 9 at the intersection of U.S. 277 and Reece Road.
DPS said Gallegos was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer westbound on Reece Road when he failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and was hit by a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander that was traveling southbound on U.S. 277.
Gallegos was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Outlander driver, a 27-year-old from Christoval, was taken to Shannon Medical Center with minor injuries.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
